This is very easy to set up the outdoor teepee. Stake the tent well, and it will work wonderfully when it is taught. The pole is made of anti-rust steel, so it is very strong and can withstand external elements like water. The external fabric is made from anti-tear 190 T polyester and 150D Oxford fabric. So this tent is going to be one that can last you for years.

It is an all-seasons tent. Because the slope design of the tent is conical, it effectively prevents rain and snow from accumulating at the top of the tent.

As it comes doubled layered, you can take the external layer to use as 2nd tent which is open to the ground or a bathroom. The inner layer is a mesh tent with a ground tarp which helps to keep the bugs out. Note that if you plan to use both layers as a separate tent, then you need to buy another center pole.

There are 2 large doors back to back. With the awning up, it is a very well-ventilated tent. It uses 2000D PU 3000MM high-density mesh structure design, which is very breathable. This allows are the circulation from the bottom out to the top vent at the roof. If you use only the mesh tent, you can stargaze from your tent.

At 12 X 10 ft, the tent is spacious enough to fit 5 to 6 persons. To get a mental picture of it, it fits 2 twin bed mattresses. But if you want comfort and extra space, it would fit 2 adults with space to move around. With a center height of 8 feet, you can stand in the tent. This is rather helpful when you want to change.

Buying Guide

Protection from elements

Best tipi tent

Rain protection is one of the most important features to keep you dry. It is necessary especially in the mountains where the weather changes in an instant. An interesting fact is that not all tents are waterproof. The majority of tents are water-resistant. This means it resists and slows down the penetration of rain. Areas to check for waterproofing are its seams and zippers.

The first thing to keep in mind when choosing a tent is to look for a floor base that is of waterproof material. It should come a few inches up the sides before it attaches to the tent walls. Having the bathtub floor version is helpful as it creates no opportunity for water to seep in.

Most people go for camping activities in spring, summer, or autumn. Thus, choosing a 3 season tent tends to be the favorite choice. It is usually made to be lightweight and cooler for warm weather. But in this review, most of the tents we have recommended can be used in 4 seasons, which is great as you can use it all year round.

Ventilation

You would want ventilation as your top priority if you are living in hot weather conditions. You would not want to end up sleeping in an oven, where it will be stuffy and sweaty as the air cannot get out of the tent. Especially so when someone farts in the tent!

Ventilation features to look for in a tent are mesh walls, windows, and doors. Meshes on the tent help block out hungry mosquitoes. Double-check that the vents are in areas where air can still flow while the rainfly is on.

You can install tent air conditioners or tent heaters through these vents for extra comfort. A tent with great ventilation features minimizes condensation. It allows air to flow through and keep you cool during warm nights.

Weight

If you are car camping, then this is not an issue for you. But if you are hike-camping or bike-camping, then weight may be a factor to consider. No one wants to lug a heavy tent when climbing to the mountain peak.  Ultralight tents are great choices but they may have minimal features to save weight. Having extra spacious tents means it will add to the weight of your tent. So choosing a backpacking tent is about trade-offs. Go for a tent that serves the purpose and the situation of your camping style.

Material

Ideally, the fabric used for tents should be waterproof and can withstand being abused by the outdoor elements.

Look for materials that can repel water, which helps when it rains. Preferably it is made of polyester, as they are lasting even in harsh situations. However polyester attracts condensation which can easily grow mildew and mold if not well maintained.

Canvas on the other hand provides great durability against UV rays. Oxford fabric repels water very well and is easily washable helps in case you need to wash up the mud off the material. Mesh materials provide better breathability. Note that fabrics that have double stitching provide better strength.

Aluminum, steel, or fiberglass are preferred as they are durable. Steel is stronger than aluminum. But aluminum is lighter than steel. Look for ones that are rust-resistant as you are always out in the water. It needs to be sturdy enough to ensure it does not break in strong winds.
